Description
Heavy Merino is a beautiful and rustic 100% merino wool yarn. It is slightly less soft than the thin Merino. The wool used in Heavy Merino is from further out from the sheep’s skin and this wool is less fine and soft than the wool that is closer to the skin.
This yarn is very durable and will hold up nicely with wear for a long time as it is produced in a way that minimizes pilling as much as possible. It is an obvious choice for sweaters for both children and adults.
Heavy Merino is made of traceable, mulesing free wool. The traceability ensures that we know which farms the wool comes from, and thereby can ensure that the animals are well taken care off and the farmers well treated and have good working conditions.
